What Do You Mean?
God gave me the phrase “joy-fully” for 2022
The first thing I asked was, what Do You Mean? How am I to joy-fully?
There are many obvious ways to cultivate joy but my questions stemmed from a deep longing to specifically know His heart and fresh perspective behind the phrase. My Abba Father knew I wanted to go beyond the common clichés.
Worship never crossed my radar as something intrinsically interwoven with joy until one day, I heard a sermon about worship and God tapped my shoulder.
“This is how you are going to learn to Joy-fully”
I encountered some perspective shifts that day
Worship prepares the environment of my heart to grow sustainable seeds of joy
Worship creates a place for me to Joy – fully in the power, presence, and passion of Jesus
Worship is a lethal weapon that kills the weeds of depression, distraction, disappointment, despair, and any of the other deadly “Ds” that try to choke out joy
There are many aspects and habits that can lead to joy, but God wants me to focus on putting more emphasis on worship and experience the true fullness of joy that comes from that surrendered and sacred place.

Does joy seem like a feeling that comes and goes depending on the circumstances of life?
Maybe God is calling you, like He has called me, to turn your eyes upon Him and worship in His presence where there is fullness of joy and at His right hand, pleasures forevermore.
Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore. Psalms 16:11
