Interesting number facts in the King James Bible:

  • First and last verse have 44 letters: In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. Genesis 1:1 (44 letters). The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all, Amen. Revelation 22:21 (44 letters)

  • The 4th, 444th, 4444th word in the Bible is God.

  • 4,444 times the word God appears in the Bible.

  • 4 represents wholeness in structure or nature. 4 is not about the parts or the number. It is about the unit, complete in structure – whole. Revelation 21:16 Foursquare – a cube the new Jerusalem. Original 4 looked like a plus sign, the slant was added later.

Numbers in the Bible divisions:

  • There are 1189 chapters in the Bible

  • Middle chapter is Psalm 117 which is the shortest chapter with 594 chapters before and after. It is the 595 chapter.

  • There are 31,102 verses in the Bible so Psalm 103:1-2 are the middle verses with 15,550 verses before and after.

  • Bless his holy name is the exact center phrase of the middle verses with 12 words on either side for a total of 28 words in the 2 verses. 4X7=28

  • If you take 31,102 and add the numbers to each other 3+1+1+0+2=7, and the middle verses 103:1-2 and add those numbers to each other 1+0+3+1+2=7, they come out the same. 7 is the number that represents the program of God on behalf of man (can be positive or negative)

One example of changes that make a difference:

Faith of Jesus Christ – There is a big difference between the two small words, of and in. Of is changed to in in many versions.

Romans 3:3-4 For what if some did not believe? shall their unbelief make the faith of God without effect? God forbid: yea, let God be true, but every man a liar; as it is written...

Romans 3:22 Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference:
