Okay Get It!

First, a quick blog update! I took a break of posting for a bit but I am back! Going forward I will continue posting Sunday blogs every Sunday but my Thursday blogs will only twice a month.

Now on to the post!

I have two dogs. When it is time for them to eat they eagerly wait for me to fill their bowls. Their eyes never stop tracking my hands.

My one dog is usually so impatient to eat that if I didn’tstop him he would start eating the food out of the bowl before I even put itdown!

But with some training he now knows that when I say “wait”before I put the bowl down he has to sit until I give the command “Okay, getit!”

They have to wait because my other dog has the same food butI have to let it soak in water for a minute so it is soft enough for her tinyChihuahua teeth to handle (she ain’t gettin’ younger ;) ).

Now why I am telling you these details?

Because sometimes in my life that is how God does thingswith me.

I am hungry to be filled with an answers to my questions

I see God pouring out the answers into my bowl.

As I watch each answer piece clink into my bowl I get moreexcited to taste and see what the Lord has done.

Then I see God finally putting the bowl within my reach

But as I am about to pick it up I hear him say the dreadedfour letter word

“Wait!”

Say what! How could you show me you heard and have prepared answersbut then delay giving them even longer?

I have come to realize that, just like I have to do with myChihuahua, sometimes the answers God gives need soaked in his grace and love.

His “wait” is not to be mean, nor is it a cruel test of mypatience.

He is just waiting for the right, perfect moment to say

“Okay, get it!”
