Jesus, Jesus, Precious Savior!

A Psalm of David. My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me? why art thou so far from helping me, and from the words of my roaring? Psalms 22:1

And about the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? that is to say, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me? Matthew 27:46

Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. Hebrews 12:2

Jesus was born of a woman – He lived as a man – He experienced hunger, thirst, weariness, pain, inconvenience, love, hate, betrayal, temptation, shame…there is nothing we have experienced that He did not experience to a greater degree, and He did it all for us! !

As a man Jesus had faith, He listened to the Father, He sought Him, pleaded with Him, trusted Him, spent time with Him, obeyed Him, and only did what His Father asked of Him. He was obedient unto death and experienced separation from His Father – the cruelest of His experiences!

And through it all He first loved us, unmeasurable mercy – through it all He never wavered from His calling, amazing grace – and in the end, the victory is His!

Praise, Glory, and Honor to Jesus!

My Father,

Today, may I be led by Your Spirit and walk in hope! May I wait on You and Your goodness. May Your name be glorified in my walk today.

Be still my heart and take not on any burdens that are not yours to carry – Look to the One who loves you!

Praise be to Your name my Rock and my Redeemer!

Love, Jeanne
