All Things New

All Things New.

This year of 2022 I am going to step out with joy and be led forth with peace because I believe God has gone before, making all things new. How can I say that with confidence?

I know my God and no matter what, He reigns on the throne.

“For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him; And he is before all things, and by him all things consist

~ Colossians 1:16-17 ~

“10 For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater: 11 So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it. 12 For ye shall go out with joy, and be led forth with peace: the mountains and the hills shall break forth before you into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands. 13 Instead of the thorn shall come up the fir tree, and instead of the brier shall come up the myrtle tree: and it shall be to the LORD for a name, for an everlasting sign that shall not be cut off.”

~ Isaiah 55:10-13 ~

“For the Lord your God dried up the waters of Jordan from before you, until ye passed over, as the Lord your God did to the Red sea, which he dried up from before us, until we were gone over: That all the people of the earth might know the hand of the Lord, that it is mighty: that ye might fear the Lord your God for ever.”

~ Joshua 4:23-24 ~

Before I even see the fruition of these verses in my life over this next year, I write them here as a memorial of truth and stand in the assurance that whatever God has spoken and will speak shall come to pass. His promises have and will remain steadfast. He will keep them not just because He is faithful but also to demonstrate His redemptive power and incredible love.

I am aware that there will be days I struggle to remember this truth and these words, but thank goodness what I feel doesn’t change the power of truth or God’s ability or the potency of His promises! Even in the moments when I feel tossed by the winds and waves of life, they will be an anchor for my soul; a safe haven.

So this year I’m going to look forward and train my eyes to find the light like the JJ Heller song says and seek to see all the different ways God is making all things new!

What truth has God given you that you can preemptively speak over this next year and use as an anchor for your soul?

Staring right here, HAPPY NEW YEAR!!
