Thursday Tippity Tip: 4 More Monthly Fellowship Ideas!
Movie night - You can have it a PJs and pillows or a popcorn and pizza kind of movie night. It can be geared toward a family kind of movie night (i.e. The Princess Bride) or a movie night more geared toward having friendly discussion afterward (i.e. The Case for Christ). How you set up the room and what you offer is totally up to you! Be sure everyone silences their cellphones before the movie. ;)
Mystery Dinner night - Now I know what you are thinking but this is NOT where you bring questionable looking pudding or some exotic sea creature cooked in a mystery sauce. ;) This is one of the more complex fellowship ideas that requires a little more planning and RSVPs BUT it also adds a new element of fun. I could bog you down with details now but why do that when there are so many websites that already have free mystery dinner stories and information on how to prep for one? Just put "How to Host a Mystery Dinner" in the search bar and viola! you will be well on your way to a planning your very own mystery dinner!
Museum/historical Day - History is so important so why not immerse yourself in learning about it while fellowshipping with others? Picking interesting places most people may not know of is a good place to start. It is fun to visit the well known and loved museums but you would be surprised how many historical sites and fascinating little museums there are off the beaten path. Some places involve hiking excursions which adds to the fun and interactiveness of the outing! A quick search of the internet can show you what is around your area.
Story time day - Everybody loves a good story right? Why not have a day where people can come fellowship and talk over some short stories for a few hours. There are many MANY books filled with inspirational, funny, and thought provoking stories. Encourage them to bring some stories they like then get out the snacks and drinks and let the reading begin!
