Thursday Tippity Tip: 7 Christmas Traditions You Can Start Today!

Read short Christmas stories and books every night a week before Christmas. Don't forget the hot chocolate, popcorn and blankets!

Pick several places to go serve the homeless or join a volunteer group to hand out meals to families. This is an especially wonderful way to remind yourself to count your blessings and for your kids to learn the joy and value of giving!

Make/decorate a family Christmas wreath. This is a simple yet fun way to add the holly jolly spirit to your home while making priceless memories!

Bake cookies and hand them out to your neighbors. This is a fun way to get your cookie fix while also giving 90% of the mouthwatering delicious tempting cookies away so you don't end up turning into the cookie monster. You do realize he turned sickly blue from eating too many cookies and cookie dough right? You didn't? Well I didn't either but either way be sure to share that cookie cheer. 😉

Open one gift on Christmas Eve. I loved this tradition in our family! Such a fun way to build anticipation for Christmas day!

Play board games Christmas Eve. Put away those electronic devices and play some games by candle or fire light and don't forget that Christmas music!

Go look at Christmas lights! Whether it is an ambitious neighbor or a community center, just Google Christmas lights in your area and so many options will pop up. Pick several or one a night to go see. Christmas lights are just breathtaking and beautiful and really get you in the Christmas spirit!
